I would suggest you ask your employer B to file thru premium processing. Just to be on the safe side
cancellation takes atleast a month if not more. (4-5 months is not a confirmed number so its better to assume the worse case of 1 month)

Yes you can transfer based on the receipt number. There is not restriction on how many H1B petition can be filed on your behalf by different employers simultaneously. As long as you have no GAP in your paystubs during this transition you should be OK. I have gone through this experience in the past without any issue.

Krilnon is right. I will clarify the whole making t-shirts thing later, but in a nutshell, feel free to set up a store and resell your own t-shirts if you want. If the shirt design is kirupa.com related and I (and maybe a few others) think it looks cool, I'll feature it on the site as well.
I have no interest in selling t-shirts directly or taking a commission or anything like that. I'll simply point people to your store (cafepress, etc.) instead.

Hi Friends,
I am a green card holder, becoming eligible for citizenship in April 2009. My fianc�e has been in the US for the past 2 plus years on F1. She completes her MS in December this year .We plan to visit our home country in August this year and get married. I thought this was a relatively uncomplicated case till I read in some forum recently that marriage to a permanent resident can be a barrier to being admitted to the U.S. in F-1 status. This is because such a marriage obliterates the "non-immigrant" intent required for F-1 entrants. This could very easily jeopardize her plan to re-enter in F-1 status.
Any thoughts or advice on this? Appreciate all the help.

If A files for Chapter 11, will my H1B and permanent residency get cancelled/revoked?
If my current H1B is valid till Nov 2010, and employer A files for chapter 11 in Dec 2010, will I be able to stay/work in US at least till Nov 2010?
What will be my options if H1B / GC gets cancelled? Can I transfer this H1B to a different employer? Or, can a different employer has to file for a new H1B? :confused:

My husband recently changed jobs and has not updated the transfer in his H1 visa yet. I need to travel to India. Can i travel with the existing H4 with his new I-797 and salary stubs? Or do we have to updated the visas before we can travel?

Yes you can travel with latest approval notice and pay stubs although they most likely won't even ask for it. You do not need new visa before travelling back to US.

My attorney signed my I-485 AOS/EAD/AP applications and posted them on July 2nd as he was in a hurry to apply because of July 2nd scenario. Is it ok for the attorney to sign our papers. Is anybody in the same boat as me. I am a little concerned as the USCIS FAQ says application can be rejected if signature is missing. The application reached USCIS on July 3rd.

As per INA Sec 101(b), the definition of child is dependent who is unmarried and under 21 years old. The Child Status Protection Act (2002) provides some additional relief. This article could be useful for you -

Hi,
I am relocating to a different city and my current employer, who started my Green Card process, is ready to offer me job as a consultant. This would be a tele-commuting / remote position. I would be paid on an hourly basis -- 40 hours per week.
I am currently on H1B visa, but also have a valid EAD.
Would accepting this offer be ok for my ongoing green card process? Any ideas on how I can approach this offer? Or would I be better off looking for a another permanent position with some other company.
Would you please let me know your thoughts.

Does the bill have provisions to increase residency positions ? I heard few months back about hard lobbying to increase the match positions by 15000 to accomodate new patients because of the mandate. Any idea?

There is nothing called H1-B *transfer*. Each employer does a brand new petition. Once the second petition is approved (and you got I-94, etc.), your status depends on how the second petition was filed:
(i) If the second petition was filed as concurrent, then you can work for both the employers.
(ii) Otherwise, you can work only for one employer.
So you need to know how Company B filed their petition.

I received an RFE for my EAD renewal.
It says "Please submit proof that you have filed an I-485 Application"
I have a copy of my receipt of I-485. Would that be enough to send? Why would they ask for proof of I-485? This is my second EAD renewal.

They are basically in hiding from the Glen Beck wing-nuts, so I doubt if Sullivan is very influential right now. He ought to be for conservatives because he is quite insightful but Beck provides plenty of pablum for the lazy.
