My cousin sister told me yesterday that - many are shy. Especially men - men could be the shyest people when it comes to showing up in public.
Yes, a big reason for people hiding inside closets is shyness.
This is also called social inhibition - UNABLE TO INTERACT SOCIALLY IN PUBLIC.

I have always surrendered both (done it 3 times so far) as it says on the I-797 that it will delay the re-entry if I did not surrender the one printed on it.

I'm also in the same situation. My attorney says wait till USCIS figures out that there are duplicates and sends a notice to withdraw one of the petitions. Of course, the checks would be en-cashed for both the petitions.

Our immigration system is broken, and I am well aware of the urgent need for reform and the impact on those trying to navigate this complicated bureaucracy. This legislation is now before the House of Representatives.
We need an effective immigration system that works for businesses and communities and that protects the basic rights of immigrants who are such an important part of our state economy and quality of life. In the end, I did not support this legislation because it failed to strike the proper balance between security, fairness and preserving Michigan jobs.

Based on the information you have provided, I do not think there is any cause for you to be worried about being deported.
However, as an applicant for Naturalization, you have the burden to prove "good moral character". Usually, "good moral character" is assumed. But when there is a past criminal conviction, even a minor one such as yours, USCIS may deny the Naturalization application if there is no affirmative evidence of "reform" and current "good moral character".
So, in addition to disclosing the NY conviction, you should be prepared to submit documents showing that you are and for the past 4 years have been a person of "good moral character". Such documentation could include sworn statements from community or religious leader, employers, co-workers, and others.
If at all possible, you should find an experienced attorney to help you prepare these documents and accompany you to the Naturalization interview.

Could some one please clarify?
My wife and I were entered on AP lately and since I work for the same employer, I am still working on my H1 and am planning to extend my H1. My wife is working on EAD, can she still able to apply for H4 based on my H1? We want to have her H4 as a back-up!

As soon as your wife used EAD, her H4 status was gone.
For you it would still be safe to continue working on H1.
Your advantages are:
1) Having dual status (H1B and AOS) is better than one.
2) You do not have to worry about EADs for yourself.

Can someone please explain what is Form G-639 for . I googled on G-639 but it seems my case fits more on cases when this shouldn't be used. Please please someone please try to understand. All I have is my SSN and all I know is my I-140 is being filed and approved. I don't have the SRC number.

The OPT 17 month extension rule ran into problems barely a month after it was introduced. The anti-immigrant groups constantly send faxes, emails and snail mail constantly to stop immigrant bills from passing. This frightens the senators and house representatives because they think that majority of United States citizens are agains't immigrant bills while an average United States citizen does not the know the difference between green card and H1 B clearly, leave alone opposing highly skilled immigrant bills.
USCIS makes tons of mistakes but it will try to repeal mistakes if it believes that it has made an error. The CSPA new regulations is an example of USCIS accepting and rectifying its mistakes.

This is a reserve visa pool that could be used for future fiscal years. HOW CAN A RESERVE POOL BE USED WHEN THERE WERE UNUSED VISA NUMBERS FROM 2000 TO 2005?

Instead of making USCIS doing an audit we can do the audit ourselves and inform USCIS that there are still immigrant visa numbers left from the AC21 act. The good thing about this reserve visa numbers is that they can be rolled over to the the future years. So we can get them issued for the years 2008 and 2009.
I think this is the only solution to our saga.

As a humble suggestion : Why not pursue an offensive approach ?
Let us show in approx numbers how many Million / Billions of $$$ immigratants can influence the system, and how they can take the money out to put it elsewehre to grow companies/talents..
We always get compared with a grapes picker, let us face facts, we generate so much income for state, savings in banks, investment in property, invest in new seed companies and grow corporate profits, pay huge taxes, and exercising options, means - millions and billions to govt via state taxes, and capital gains. - Who benefits ? The GOVT. When we talk $$$ we make sense to them. If we whine on how the system should be fair and CIR, or SKIL, this will fall in deaf ears. Afterall in US, $ talks.
Look at @ Apple, steve jobs is almost getting aways with all the back , the reason the financial muscle :-( !

During my LCA my company moved 10 miles to another city which was in a different county and my attorney had to file for a new LC. In fact she also asked to mention any other location (like house if in different city) if that was applicable.
The main reason for that is salary level.
My company is in a different state. I am consulting and hence working in a different state. Do we specify the job location in PERM application ? If yes, does it matter that I am working at a different location ? I am working on applying PERM in EB-2. Thanks.

Her I-485 does not need to filed before his I-485 approval. She can file for her I-485 when PD is current and maintaining valid visa status (or out of status < 180 days) at the time of filing of her I-485.

which help to get overtime for full time employee.
I know if you consultant you get paid by hours but not when you become full time employee.
Overtime is paid only if you are a non-exempt employee - usually means you get paid hourly. If you are an exempt employee, then you are not eligible for overtime. Not sure if this is different in different states, but that is how it works in Ohio.
