I think there's some upper limit that apple may hit, I just don't see why it would be as low as 10%.
Generic businesses will likely stay with windows for quite a while, regardless of what apple does. But I don't see any reason many creative businesses, schools and home users couldn't switch to macs.

iPhone 4, Kindle 3, and Apple TV all ordered around the same time. I somehow got lucky received the iPhone overnight(via AT&T) but everything else is still on order(Kindle finally shipping soon). I'm really enjoying the iPhone 4. I've had every other iPhone on release day but decided to try something different prior to this and purchased Nexus One(amazing device and very fast). I stupidly got rid f the Nexus for a Dell Streak which I hated and decided I would switch back to iPhone until the next gen of phones are out.

Just called up my apple retail store.
The stocks are not in yet. They just noted down my number and will call me once they get it.

Let's see. How about putting back the option to have alarm alerts turned off if iCal is closed but still on if opened. Anyone who ever uses their laptop for presentations would be so happy to have that feature back. How about putting back the ability to click once on an item in Month view and seeing details. Seriously. Is the point to keep taking away functions and make it look super hokey?

Do some research on what tall buildings do to cell towers/signal and the ability for your phone to handle constant hand-offs between thousands of towers. Trust me, sky scrapers make it impossible for Verizons, T-mobile, or any other carriers service to be much better than the rest. The other carriers are just better about hiding their shortcomings from the public.

Learn from Google? What has Google developed that's anything close to an OS? And no, Chrome OS doesn't count...it's a giant web browser, with Cloud Apps...
By that same vein, what has Apple ever developed that's anything close to a OS ? And no, Mac OS X, a bunch of components bought/taken from the open source community doesn't count... it's just a Unix distribution with a GUI layer on top. :rolleyes:
It's easy to discount anything going with that mentality. The fact is, Chrome OS is as much an undertaking as OS X was. It's more than just a "Web browser" since web browsers cannot be booted and don't provide graphical sub-systems, input management and process scheduling obviously.
(yes, I do realise Mac OS Classic existed).
And to answer your question directly : Android. ;)

This all seems much ado about nothing. Clearly it looks like M$ is showing us how greedy they can be but look at the facts:
From what I've seen of Vista editions, Starter, Home Basic, and Home Premium are pretty much crippled.
Vista Business is $199 for the upgrade. I'm betting the OEM version will be priced similarly. Only a fool would go buy the full retail version. The OEM works fine.
VirtualPC sold for about $ 250. Parallels + Vista Biz is going to be about the same price.
$199 seems a lot for an upgrade, but keep in mind that M$ doesn't do major upgrades very often. So it's not like Apple where we have to put out $125 every 18 months or so.
If you really don't want to spend $199 on Vista Biz then buy Home Basic for $99 and use Boot Camp. Since Boot Camp isn't a virtualization Win can't get on your backs about that.
Still remains to be seen how Win will know if you are using virtualization software. Certain expect to see hacks that will make Vista think it's running on a true PC.

Yes, white is beautiful, but I think it has to come with, at least, a small upgrade to make up for the late arrival. Perhaps 1GB of RAM or a bump in processor speed. I�ll consider it then, if it�s just a white iPhone 4 then I think I�ll wait for iPhone 5... although it looks sexy as hell in white.

with only the $2000 model having a 1GB graphics card option this is a useless upgrade for anyone into gaming. might as well buy an MBP and take it everywhere

Also, just wanted to weigh in on the "big hands" thing - I'm a woman, born a woman, never any question about it, but my hands are as big as most men's, especially considering I'm only 5'4". So are you going to beat me up just in case I'm a man?
I'll just put this out there: People who freak you out are not necessarily a threat to you, no matter how much they freak you out. And just because someone's sexual/gender preferences are outside your definition of normal does NOT mean that they're a frigging pedophile. That is such a leap in logic it's making my head spin. It's also really offensive. It's just as offensive as if I assumed that because of your race (whatever it is), you're more likely to molest MY child. That's not fair, is it? Doesn't make sense, does it? So you shouldn't make that assumption about a transgender person, either.
And don't give me any of this "race isn't a choice but gender is" BS. That's a common excuse and it's an incorrect assumption. Nobody would choose to live as a gender they didn't identify with if they didn't feel they needed to. If you've ever lived and struggled with something you were mortified to let anyone know, you'd have more sympathy for this transgendered woman. It must be nice to be you, but not everybody has it so great. Show a little empathy and don't automatically assume everyone is out to get you.
