The new features look pretty cool...but I generally think it's worth getting the upgrades just for fixes and optimizations.
And from what people are saying, even this early beta of Leopard brings teh snappy.

After waiting two years for TMO to get the iPhone, I just threw up my arms in disgust at the merger news and moved over to VZ. Wish I could get confirmation before my thirty days with VZ are up.
For those of you talking trash about TMO's network: While their overall coverage is not as good as VZ's, their speed network wide is better than either VZ or AT&T. Much better. Much, much better. Trust me. I know.

So far, Leopard is something I'm not willing to pay for.
I expected just a little bit of a UI change, it just looks like a little updated version of Tiger.
I really wonder what these top secret features are because the current features aren't impressing me enough to open my wallet.

Think iPad 2 with the "L" shape stand as the new iMac. Ditch the Optical Drive, not needed anymore considering its takes up space and is hardly ever used by the majority. :)

Oh, I see, it was a technician writing a repair report.
so it is normal. this does not mean that anyone, technician or CEO, said it is acceptable. the technicians notes, imho, seem to merely state that the phone works as expected, normally, regardless of the networks issues.
maybe i have a problem because i do not live in NYC or SF, drop very few calls. Forgive me for being sympathetic. Albeit premature, I haven't yet had my hissy fit that I blame on the world not being the one I invented in my workshop.

Uh, that would be an iPhone 5. You do realise that 5 is the generation when people talk about iPhone. Apple has yet to name their next device, but whatever real name it will have, it will still be the 5th generation iPhone.
The one next year would be iPhone 6.
It's still only going to be an iPhone 4 at best like the 3GS was a bumped buy me again iPhone 3G! People are expecting loads of hardware bumps and a redesign like the iPhone 4 we won't see it!
It will be the iPhone 4 with an a5 chip and to be honest there is no speed difference to my iPhone 4 to my iPad 2, A4 is speedy still on such a small display!
What I'd like to see it major software updates to the boring grid of apps as the iPhone no matter how new outside the software seems as old as the hill! It's boring repetitive but practical and
works!

You went up in arms about the itunes logo, but when a mockup is truly horrible, you praise it? This is about the worst mockup i've ever seen.
Apple, please never ever put that awful backing on the iphone. ever.
You hip generation might like holes in your jeans and scratches on your phone, but I just think it's stupid. :p
Maybe they're afraid of yet again having to face the embarassment of having first bashed a design and said it looks like a cheap chinese knock-off and then doing a 180 degree turn when it turns out it's Apples own design, it's a precautionary measure.
(For the record, I never liked the 3G/3GS design, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the leaked iP4 images and loved it when it turned out to be the actual thing, and if this ugly abomination turns out to be an actual Apple product I loose all respect for Apple)

It says it used different frequencies... but then how can people jailbreak/unlock their iPhones and use it on T-mobile?

does this still have lag/freezing issues?
I know when lion beta was first released it would lag and freeze a lot! also it was very unstable, 80% of the apps would crash constantly.
